Frenchman Expedition

Busy, beautiful, feisty are all good descriptions of Frenchman Bay.  If you are looking for a chance to spend a couple of days of adventurous paddling in the shadow of Acadia National Park while exploring dramatic islands with sea cliffs soar overhead then this could be the expedition for you.  This open and wild bay is home to abundant wild life seals, porpoise, eagles, osprey all call this bay home at times and RARLY even seeing a whale is a possibility.  We have paddled thousands of miles in Frenchman Bay and  it has never disappointed.  This is an expedition you will not soon forget.

3-day Expedition Overview

These Google Earth images show one possible 3-day expedition in Frenchman Bay.  The first image is an overview of all 3-days.  This would be a true expedition style trip where each day camp would be broken in the morning and set up each night.  The next day would consist of touring the islands that our campsite makes accessible and returning to camp.  While camping options are fairly limited in Frenchman Bay, the opportunities for exploration and adventure are extensive.  A base camp style expedition is also an option where camp would be established on day one and not broken until the last morning is also available.  The exact course and destinations are made at the time of the trip are subject to weather, and group abilities.
