A sea kayaker landing on Sellers Island in Eggemogin Reach

Jericho Bay Adventure

Departing from Naskeag Harbor in the Town of Brooklin Maine The Jericho Bay Adventure offers many exciting areas for exploration.  Often crossing Eggemoggin Reach and exploring the southeast side of Deer Isle and the nearby islands.  This adventure can also explore the south end of Blue Hill Bay and the islands around the northeast side of Swans Island.  The Jericho Bay Adventure boasts varied and beautiful island shorelines,  abundant wildlife, and in clear conditions amazing views.  Naskeag Harbor is a bit off the beaten path but is totally worth the drive to escape the crowds both on land and the water.

Naskeag Point Boat Launch
An example of a possible Jericho Bay adventure

Here you can see the course of one of our Jericho Bay  Adventures.  We paddled about 10.8 nautical miles(12.4 miles).  We paddled through fog which cleared into a bright sunshine.  We maintained a relaxed pace made a couple of stops on different islands.  The Google Earth image shows an approximation of areas that are possible to explore in a half day tour.  Weather and group abilities will determine that actual course that your group travel.  If you have a specific goal in mind let us know and we will try to make it happen.
